NTNUI invades Paris

With few expectations and high motivation two teams went to Paris to represent NTNUI in the ENSTAStudent 7 a Paris Tournament the 18th and 19th of April. French was spoken, pancakes eaten, the Eiffel tower seen and even some rugby matches they won.

From they entered the university where the tournament was held Friday evening until they left it Sunday afternoon the players got some surprises, like non-contesting scrums, half-pitch, free party and a jumping castle, some worries with an ambulance and first aiders on the pitch, and some guilty pleasures from free pancakes, food and drinks. The teams consisted mainly of NTNUI current and ex players, with one Stavanger girl and some French players being the exceptions.

The ladies managed to win in total six out of their seven games and ended up at second place of out of fourteen teams. The gents met relatively harder competition and could therefore go all in for the Saturday party with no matches the following day.

All in all a great weekend and maybe a plan has formed to revisit next year.
